Orval Ray Tower

Tammy Nix, Director of Orval Ray Tower in Del City, OK contacted STAMPSCO to find a solution to their existing Fire Alarm problems.  The existing system was old and out of date, and they weren't confident in their existing provider.  They were also under a current Fire Watch due to their existing system being down, and time was of the essence to provide a quick solution.

The old Fire Alarm wiring was installed in full conduit throughout the facility with other low voltage systems, and over the years the wiring became settled in the conduit, which made it virtually impossible to remove in some locations.  Since Orval Ray is an entirely concrete facility, the challenge was to successfully utilize as much of the existing conduit as possible, and install new wiring throughout without the wiring being visible to tenants.

STAMPSCO was able to provide a solution to upgrade the existing Fire Alarm System and wiring, and was able to meet the stringent timeline requested.  We utilized an addressable MS9600 from Firelite, manufactured by Honeywell, as the new Fire Alarm Control panel.  Over 300 new addressable devices, and over 300 new notification appliances were installed throughout the facility, and in each apartment.  We also brought the facility up to current local and national code requirements, and ADA requirements for notification.
